The Iqra Farogh-e-Taleem is an exceptional initiative of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the objective of registering out of school children between the ages of 5-16 living in deprived areas in the province through a voucher scheme.
KPK Government-issued vouchers are tuition fee redemption vouchers that families can redeem at a private partner school of their choice in return for free education services. Education vouchers have the potential for increasing freedom of choice for parents, increasing competition among schools leading to greater productive efficiency, and greater equity by providing access to schooling for marginalised groups.
Presently, Elementary Education Foundation is implementing Iqra Farogh-e-Talim Education Voucher Scheme in five districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on a pilot basis and intends to expand it in the future course of time.
